The Buick Envision is a vehicle that will give you a performance that you will not forget. It has a 2.0 L engine that is highly-efficient. It also comes with adaptive cruise control. Adaptive cruise control essentially works the same as regular cruise control. The major difference is that it has the ability to detect when the road conditions change so that it will be able to make the necessary adjustments. There are different drive modes that you will be able to select. You can choose front-wheel drive, which is the best choice for your everyday drives.

You can also select all-wheel drive, which will give you the extra traction that you need if you are driving in less than ideal conditions. Additionally, off-road capability will improve your performance on unpaved surfaces. Additionally, you can use continuous dampening control to help you improve the handling of your vehicle so that you can have a smoother ride.

We all get a craving for something sweet on occasion. But when the mood strikes, where do you go? While picking up a chocolate bar or a bag of candy at the local supermarket works, it doesn’t give you many options or access to extraordinary treats. You’ll want to go to a business that dedicates time to making delicious confectioneries. If you live in Woodbridge, Virginia, you’ll find the following five places to go for sweet treats when the mood strikes.

Candy World

Are you taking a trip to Potomac Mills? If you are, you might find yourself driving past Candy World on the way. Aptly named, Candy World is dedicated to helping people discover all the candy they want from trusted candy brands like Ghirardelli, Lindt, and Jelly Belly. Whether you’re a fan of chocolate, sour candies, or gummy bears, you’re sure to find everything you’re possibly craving at Candy World.

If you’re shopping for candy for a special occasion, you’ll find fudge and chocolate-covered cherries and strawberries in the store as well.

Look for Candy World at Potomac Mills in front of Auntie Anne’s Pretzels and Starbucks. Confirm operating hours and contact information by visiting its website

The shop’s collection includes the Virginia Nut Trio for those who love to have snacks on hand. The Chocolate Charcuterie allows you to have everything you need to tide guests over until your main entrees are ready, and the Chocolate Lover Box will keep even the most voracious candy lovers happy. These three recommendations barely scratch the surface of what TOTT has to offer.

More importantly, TOTT staff can take custom requests for gift baskets if you need a distinctively sweet gift for a special event. The GMC Canyon is a vehicle that has powerful technology that will allow you to stay connected. You can access your navigation and media while you are on the go. The navigation system will prevent you from getting lost when you go places. Available wireless charging is something else that you can use. If you do not have any plugs, then you can keep your devices powered up by using the wireless charging system. You can also use power outlets. There are four USB ports that you can use.

Furthermore, you can stay connected via the Android Auto Compatibility and Apple CarPlay. You can do things like access your apps, make phone calls and get directions. If you have Apple CarPlay, then you will be able to get directions from Waze. You can also get road traffic alerts.

Welcome to Koons Woodbridge Buick GMC, your home for all your Buick and GMC automotive needs. If you’ve been searching for a new SUV, chances are you’ve heard about the Buick Enclave and GMC Acadia. Both vehicles have a well-earned reputation for reliable performance and come with the latest comfort and convenience features you crave. So to help you decide which model best suits your lifestyle, we created this head-to-head comparison.

Buick Enclave Highlights

With the Buick Enclave, you have four trims to choose from: Preferred, Essence, Premier, and Avenir. While each trim features the unmistakable Enclave appearance, they have subtle differences that make them unique. In addition, every model comes with Quiet Tuning Technology, keeping road and engine noise from penetrating the cabin, letting you enjoy the quiet solitude or your favorite music without distraction.

Other premium touches to the Preferred trim include a leather-wrapped steering wheel. Plus, you get the Buick Infotainment system featuring HD audio and a color interactive display.

You’ll find leather-trimmed upholstery in the first two rows moving to the Essence trim. You get additional driver-assist systems such as lane change alert, side blind zone alert, and rear cross-traffic alert added to your standard suite. In addition, your infotainment system includes Android Auto, Apple CarPlay, and Bluetooth technology to sync and operate your smart devices.

Next up, your Premier trim comes with a premium audio system from Bose. This 10-speaker system was designed specifically for Enclave’s cabin to provide the highest-quality listening experience. Other premium features include heated and ventilated front seats that massage in relaxed comfort on long drives. Your third-row seats were power-fold with the push of a button.

Buick’s top-tier Avenir trim adds signature exterior style with an exclusive grille and power moonroof. Technology enhancements include a wireless charging pad and the new rear vision camera that transforms your review mirror into a video screen that projects a wide-angle live view from behind your Enclave. Another useful feature is the HD surround vision system. This system provides you with a bird’s eye view of your Enclave to help you maneuver in tight quarters.

GMC Acadia Highlights

You can choose the SLE, SLT, AT4, or Denali trim when shopping for the GMC Acadia as a buyer. You also have two special editions, the Elevation and the Denali Ultimate Package. Like the Enclave, the Acadia models have trim-exclusive features such as signature grilles, wheel options, and trim packages.

GMC crafted the Acadia with athletic proportions such as a wide stance, sculpted sides, and flared wheel wells. In addition, every trim features low-profile roof rails in various colors.

On the special edition Elevation, you get blacked-out trim all around, including premium 20-inch aluminum wheels in gloss black, plus signature black badging inside and out. In addition, the Denali Ultimate Package comes with performance upgrades to the powertrain, drivetrain, and premium exterior touches like the dual-panel moonroof.

Buick Enclave Performance

Every Enclave comes with a 3.6-liter V-6 engine with dual overhead cams and 24 valves with spark-ignition direct-injection technology. Buick pairs this engine with a nine-speed automatic transmission. As a result, this powertrain delivers 310 horsepower, 266 pound-feet of torque, and tows up to 5,000 pounds.

Buick’s switchable all-wheel-drive (AWD) system works automatically. When the system senses a loss of traction, it diverts power to the wheels that can use it most, thus enabling you to traverse slippery and snow-covered roads and other soft surfaces. On dry roads, the AWD system enhances cornering ability and improves acceleration.

Now, Buick offers a Trailering Package that includes the hitch and wiring installation, plus a hitch guidance system to help you back up to your trailer. This system sends a live feed from behind you with a precise view of your trailer hitch and grid lines to help you with steering and distance.

GMC Acadia Performance

GMC offers two engine options on the Acadia. On the two lower trims, you have a 2.0-liter inline four-cylinder engine. This turbocharged engine uses spark ignition direct injection and variable valve timing technology. You also get auto start/stop technology to maximize efficiency. GMC mates this engine with a nine-speed transmission to produce 228 horsepower, 258 pound-feet of torque, and tow up to 3,300 pounds.

On the AT4 and Denali trims, you get a 3.6-liter V-6 engine with variable valve timing, spark ignition direct injection, and auto start/stop technology. This engine pairs with a nine-speed automatic transmission. As a result, this powertrain puts out an impressive 310 horsepower and 271 pound-feet of torque, and can tow up to 4,000 pounds when properly set up.

You get a capable front-wheel-drive system on the Denali, SLT, and SLE models, with the option to add all-wheel-drive for more traction and control. In addition, the off-road-inspired Acadia AT4 trim comes only in all-wheel-drive. This intelligent system monitors your Acadia’s throttle, steering, torque, and wheel spin to determine where to send power in low-traction situations. You also have selectable drive modes to tune your performance to the road further. All-wheel-drive is available on every Acadia trim.

Driver-Assist Technologies

Both vehicles come with a suite of driver-assist systems designed to improve safety and elevate your driving experience. For example, you’ll find both vehicles have a forward collision warning system that engages emergency braking if necessary. Other systems include lane change and lane-keep alert systems that help you stay centered and avoid unintentional drifts.

As Valentine’s Day approaches, you may be thinking about how to celebrate this special day in the nation’s capital. If you’d like to plan a unique yet romantic occasion for you and your loved one, Washington, D.C., has several lively and exciting opportunities in which to celebrate this day of love. The team at Koons Woodbridge Buick GMC has put together this brief guide featuring five different ways to spend Valentine’s Day with your sweetheart. All you need to do is decide which one you and your partner will enjoy the most.

Paint Your Pet

Celebrate Valentine’s Day with your significant other by planning a Paint Your Pet date night at Whoof on the Wharf. Both of you can bring a favorite photo of your pet and leave with a truly unique and beautiful painting of your furry friend. Be sure to send Whoof a photo ahead of time and they’ll get the canvas and painting supplies ready. Team members are available to help however you need throughout the entire evening.

The staff at Whoof can offer recommendations for different color schemes and patterns and assist you in adding some special touches like hearts or flowers. Snacks and beverages will be provided or you can bring your own. Whoof will also be donating 20% of the painting class proceeds to one of the local Washington, D.C., animal welfare charities. This painting workshop is being held on Monday, February 14, from 6:30 p.m. to 9 p.m. at Whoof on the Wharf in Edgewater, Maryland.

Attend a Virtual Cakepop Class

You and your partner can learn how to make cakepops with a virtual cakepop class hosted by Baked by Yael. For 45 to 60 minutes, this Valentine’s Day class will teach you how to mix, assemble, and decorate your very own cakepops. The registration fee includes a home cakepop kit, which you can pick up curbside or have delivered to your home. The kit includes everything you need to make these delicious sweet desserts, including baked cake, frosting, candy melts, glitter, sprinkles, sticks, and a cake pop drying stand. Choose from vanilla, chocolate, gluten-free chocolate, or vegan chocolate cake.

Registration is $39.95, and for an additional $25, Baked by Yael will send an extra cakepop kit. An email will be sent to you 24 to 48 hours prior to the class with details for using Zoom video conferencing so you can join in on the virtual cakepop workshop.

Ice Skating at The Wharf

For a classic romantic way to spend Valentine’s Day, treat your date to an evening at Washington, D.C.’s, only ice skating rink at The Wharf. Bring your own skates or rent them at the rink. While gliding together on the ice, you can enjoy some breathtaking views of the water, the monuments, and some of the most beautiful sunsets you’ve ever seen.

Treat yourselves to a hot beverage like coffee or hot cocoa to stay warm. When you’re both worn out from skating, you can stop for dinner at a nearby restaurant or do some window-shopping at the adjacent retail shops. The price per person to ice skate is $12 and skate rentals are $6 a pair. The rink is closed Mondays and Tuesdays but is open Wednesdays through Fridays from 4 p.m. to 10 p.m., Saturdays from 12 p.m. to 10 p.m., and Sundays from 12 p.m. to 8 p.m.

Visit the Capital Wheel

Have you ever seen the Potomac River from 180 feet in the air? Now you can when you visit the Capital Wheel. While you and your spouse or partner are comfortably seated in a climate-controlled gondola, you’ll enjoy waterfront views of Washington, D.C., Maryland, and Virginia. Be sure to watch for the Washington Monument, Masonic Temple of Alexandria, and much more.

For an evening you’re sure to remember, choose the VIP Experience. You and three other guests, if you’re enjoying a double date on Valentine’s Day, will ride in the National Harbor One VIP Gondola that includes leather bucket seats, Amazon Alexa technology, interior lighting, and a glass floor. You’ll also receive a photo package worth $20.

General admission tickets are $15 per person, $13.50 for seniors and military personnel, and $11.25 for children 12 and under. Tickets for the VIP Experience are $50 per person.

Attend a Premier Dinner Cruise

Another remarkable option for Valentine’s Day is a romantic dinner cruise on the Potomac River. On this three-hour cruise, you can indulge in a three-course meal and spend the evening appreciating the magnificent views of the city. From the river, you’ll be able to see national monuments like the Lincoln Memorial, Thomas Jefferson Memorial, and Arlington National Cemetery. You may also spot the Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts, United States Naval Research Laboratory, Old Town Alexandria in Virginia, and the Woodrow Wilson Memorial Bridge.

Visit the observation deck for some fresh night air or spend some time enjoying the live music and dancing. Both captain and crew will greet you as arrive. Plus, you’ll have a chance to commemorate the evening with a special cruise photograph.

The Odyssey is a modern dining ship with three elegantly decorated glass atrium dining rooms that offer comfortable seating and large picture windows. The three-course dinner begins with a tasting trio of roasted summer vegetable salad, rock shrimp spheres, and whipped goat cheese. Choose from delicious entrees such as crab and mussel gratin, maple mustard glazed chicken, cauliflower steak, or steak and lobster tail. Dessert includes a selection of extravagant sweets like Odyssey’s signature bread pudding, mountain berry shortcake, or chocolate decadent cake.

Now that you have an idea of what’s available in Washington, D.C., to celebrate Valentine’s Day, is there a specific event that interests you? If you have some ideas on how to celebrate this annual day of romance, we’d love to hear them. We’re always looking for local places and events to recommend to our customers. Contact us today and we’ll be happy to add it to our list.

Looking for a family-friendly SUV with plenty of passenger-carrying capacity and an upscale interior? The 2022 GMC Acadia ticks all of your boxes. Powered by a turbocharged V-4 engine, this three-row SUV features an attractive cabin that’s perfect for long or short drives. Our experts at Koons Woodbridge GMC have created an overview of this GMC’s best interior features.

Seating

Image via Flickr by Rutger van der Maar

As GMC’s midsize SUV, the 2022 Acadia can seat either six or seven passengers depending on how you configure the second row. With a second-row bench, your capacity is seven people, but this is reduced to six with the added luxury provided by captain’s chairs.

The base Acadia features cloth upholstery in the cabin. The front two rows offer ample headroom and legroom for passengers of all sizes. Even the third row is suitable for adult passengers to ride on short trips, and for kids or teenagers on longer drives. If you need to install kids’ chairs, you’ll find two sets of LATCH connectors on the outermost seats in the second row, as well as tether anchors in the third row.

Cargo Storage

If you’re carrying a full cabin of passengers, you’ll find 12.8 cubic feet of storage behind the third row. That’s enough to carry your family’s groceries or a few larger luggage bags.

In case you need to haul some larger items, you can open up over 41 cubic feet of storage with the third row of seats folded down. The Acadia’s cargo-carrying capacity maxes out at 79 cubic feet with both rear rows folded flat.

Beyond its cargo storage options in the cabin, the Acadia can tow up to 4,000 pounds at the rear. That’s more than enough for a modest-sized camper or boat for a vacation trip.

Infotainment and Technology

You can control the Acadia’s wide range of entertainment features through an 8-inch screen and listen to your favorite music through a six-speaker stereo. Other standard infotainment features include Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, which allow you to link your smartphone with the Acadia’s screen.

The Acadia is equipped with a number of additional connectivity features. These include Bluetooth, a wireless hot spot, and several USB ports. You can upgrade to wireless device charging so it’s even easier to keep your devices fully charged while you’re on the go.

Another useful infotainment upgrade is the rear-seat entertainment system. This system provides rear-seat passengers with their own entertainment screen so they can select music or videos to watch during the drive. It’s an ideal option if you want something to keep your kids occupied.

Driver Assistance and Safety

On top of a roomy cabin and extensive entertainment offerings, the Acadia comes with a long list of standard driver safety features. Forward collision warning paired with pedestrian detection enable the Acadia to alert you when an obstacle is detected up ahead. If you fail to take evasive action soon enough, the automatic emergency braking system kicks in to bring your SUV to a stop.

Parking assistance is provided by front and rear parking sensors, and a rear cross traffic alert feature that alerts you when vehicles approach from the side while you’re in reverse. There are also several features suited to support highway driving, such as lane keep assist and lane departure warning. Teen Driver allows you to set speed limits and impose other restrictions on how your Acadia is used to help young drivers learn safely.

You can select from several optional features to experience GMC’s full range of driver safety technology. The surround-view parking camera displays an aerial view of your Acadia so that you can maneuver into a parking spot while monitoring potential threats from all angles. Adaptive cruise control keeps track of the distance between your Acadia and other vehicles up ahead on the highway, and adjusts your speed to ensure a steady drive.

Trims

There are four trims to choose from in the Acadia’s 2022 lineup, and they all come with unique aspects to their interior features. The four trims are SLE, SLT, AT4, and Denali.

The base SLE trim has cloth upholstery, the standard infotainment setup, and  a tri-zone climate control system. If you opt for the Driver Convenience package, you can add a power-adjustable driver’s seat and heated front seats. Another optional upgrade package gives you access to an eight-speaker premium stereo and a navigation system.

The SLT trim adds a bit more luxury to the cabin with leather upholstery. The optional upgrades included in the Driver Convenience package come standard in the SLT. You can opt for some optional add-ons, including a power-adjustable passenger’s seat, ventilated front seats, a heated steering wheel, and heated rear seats.

The AT4 trim is the Acadia’s off-roading specialist. It features premium cloth upholstery, which makes it easier for you to clean the cabin after you and your passengers have tackled the outdoors.

The Denali is GMC’s top-of-the-line offering for the Acadia. Leather upholstery returns in this trim, and all the optional upgrades offered in the SLT trim come standard in the Denali. If you’re interested in the optional upgrades, you can add a sunroof and the surround-view parking camera.

Don’t forget that there’s more to this vehicle than it’s exciting cabin, including an optional V-6 powerhouse under the hood capable of churning out 310 horsepower. All-wheel drive is also available throughout the lineup, including a specially designed off-road system for the rugged AT4 trim.

Detailing your car can take a long time if you want to do a thorough job, but when you want to hone in on the most important areas, use these tips from us at Koons Woodbridge Buick GMC in Woodbridge, VA. We can help you take your vehicle from grimy to sparkling.

Our first tip is to get rid of old carpeting that’s seen better days. You can buy new carpeting for your make and model directly from the manufacturer, and it will only cost you around $200 for most brands. Pieces come pre-formed, and you can install them yourself in the afternoon.

You should also use synthetic wax on the body of your car to protect the clear coat and give the car an overall shine that you’ll like. It produces a mirror shine that you’ll notice. All you do is apply it with a rag and then wipe off the haze.

Pickup trucks used to be highly capable and reliable, but not very friendly for everyday use. Those days are gone, however, and new trucks not only help you get the job done but are also as comfortable and rich in infotainment features as an SUV. That’s certainly the case with GMC trucks and the choice between a GMC Canyon and a Sierra is ultimately down to personal preferences. Here’s how the two compare.

Available Cab Style Configurations

Both the 2022 GMC Canyon and 2022 GMC Sierra can be configured to fit your needs. The 2022 Canyon has three main configurations: extended cab, with a box length of 74 inches, crew cab-short box, with four passenger doors and a 61-inch box length, and crew cab-long box with four passenger doors and a box length of 74 inches.

The bigger 2022 Sierra 1500 has four possible configurations: Regular cab-long box, with a box length of 98 inches, double cab-standard box, with a box length of 79 inches, crew cab-short box, with a box length of 70 inches, and crew cab-standard box, with a box length of 79 inches.

Powertrains

Image via Unsplash by Donald Teel

The standard engine on the 2022 GMC Canyon is a 2.5-liter four-cylinder that can produce up to 200 horsepower and 191 pound-feet of torque, helped by a six-speed automatic transmission. While this power output should be enough for most truck buyers, those who need a little extra push can choose the upgrade, which is a muscular 3.6-liter V-6, with 308 horsepower and 275 pound-feet of torque, paired with an eight-speed automatic transmission. If you’re looking for high amounts of torque, the turbocharged 2.8-liter diesel four-cylinder engine will deliver it to you, as it can produce 369 pound-feet of torque.

As you would expect from a larger truck, the 2022 Sierra 1500 has a more powerful engine lineup than the Canyon. Its standard engine is a turbocharged 2.7-liter inline-4 that was only available as an option for previous model years and which can produce up to 310 horsepower and 420 pound-feet of torque. Other notable engine choices are the 5.3-liter V-8 with 355 horsepower and 383 pound-feet of torque and the 6.2-liter V-8 with 420 horsepower and 460 pound-feet of torque. The diesel version is a turbocharged inline-6 with 277 horsepower and 460 pound-feet of torque.

Performance

When equipped with the V-6, the 2022 GMC Canyon has a maximum tow rating of 7,700 pounds, which is one of the best in its midsize pickup category. The 2022 GMC Sierra 1500’s maximum tow rating is an impressive 13,200 pounds, making it more suitable for heavy-duty loading. Both trucks also deliver excellent acceleration performance. The Canyon’s V-6 helps it reach a speed of 60 miles per hour from a complete standstill in 6.9 seconds, while the Sierra 1500’s V-8 pushes it from zero to 60 in 6.2 seconds. Both these times are impressive for vehicles this large.

Interior Comfort and Technology

The 2022 GMC Canyon’s interior is smartly designed and effective. There’s plenty of space for driver and passengers, regardless of their size, and the large windshield provides excellent visibility. Its infotainment system is intuitive and easy to use, with standard Apple CarPlay and Android Auto integration and additional smartphone connectivity options through two USB ports and Bluetooth. The standard sound system delivers good audio quality, but audiophiles can choose the optional Bose system. A 4G LTE Wi-Fi system is also available.

The 2022 Sierra takes full advantage of the size difference and offers exceptional amounts of space to all passengers. The 13.4-inch touch-screen interface is standard for all trims except the base one and gives the dashboard a high-tech look. Smartphone connectivity is also easily achievable, plus various design elements that can easily make you forget you’re in the cabin of a very capable work truck.

Driver Aids

Both the Canyon and the Sierra 1500 are exceptionally well-equipped when it comes to active safety systems. Some of the most useful on the 2022 Canyon are the forward-collision warning system, which alerts the driver in case of an imminent frontal impact and hits the brakes to mitigate the impact, and the lane-departure warning system, which alerts the driver if the truck begins drifting out of its lane. The 2022 Sierra will take things one step further and use the Super Cruise hands-free driver assistance system, which offers complete autonomy under certain circumstances.

Verdict

When comparing the 2022 GMC Canyon and GMC Sierra, the right choice greatly depends on what you intend to do with it. The smaller Canyon is the ideal truck for those who plan on using it extensively as a personal means of transportation, as its more compact frame and excellent agility make it more suitable for everyday use. The Sierra 1500, on the other hand, is a heavy-duty powerhouse that’s capable of carrying huge loads and, while not unsuitable for everyday use, tends to be a more professional work truck.

The line between personal vehicles and those used for work is getting narrower every year and the GMC Canyon and Sierra are excellent examples of this. With both offering excellent capability and comfort, the choice between the two ultimately depends on what you need it for and how much personal driving you plan on doing with it. If you’d like to see both of them, compare them head-to-head, and maybe take them for a test drive to see what they can do, you’re more than welcome to pay us a visit at Koons Woodbridge Buick GMC!
